Sandra Cunha developed academic work as Auxiliary Researcher in the University of Minho, since May 2021. She obtained her PhD in Civil Engineering in the University of Minho (Portugal) in 2018, with a thesis entitled "Development and Characterization of Mortars with Incorporation of Phase Change Materials". Since 2010, she has been conducting research in construction materials, sustainable construction, thermal comfort, energy efficiency of buildings, circular economy, and industrial waste reuse. Her special focus has been on the incorporation of Phase Change Materials in concrete and mortars. Sandra Cunha has more than 100 publications: 1 granted patent, 3 theses, 1 book, 1 book chapter, 53 papers in international and national journals, 36 communications in proceedings of national and international conferences, 6 edited books, 8 edited journal issues and 3 discipline notes. The publications are referenced in databases such as Web of Science and Scopus. Based on the citations of these papers, she obtained the following indicators (h-index): 13 in Scopus and 13 in Web of Science. Additionally, she has supervised 16 completed master's, 1 completed international internship, and is currently supervising 8 master and 3 PhD students. She was also co-editor in the special issue in Key Engineering Materials and guest-editor in Sustainability, research member in the Sustainable Polymer-Cement Composites Project and invited speaker in seminars and congresses. She is also Editor in "Engenharia Civil UM" journal and member of the scientific committee of several journals and conferences. She actively participates in the scientific review process for high-impact scientific journals.
