Carina Andrade is a Researcher Fellow in the ALGORITMI Research Centre and Invited Professor in University of Minho. She finished the Master’s in Engineering and Management of Information Systems at the University of Minho, in 2015 and since then her experience includes research on Sentiment Analysis, Big Data and Complex Event Processing. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in Advanced Engineering Systems for Industry (AESI) - a PhD that emerged from a partnership between ALGORITMI Research Centre (University of Minho) and Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal. At the same time, she is Invited Professor at the University of Minho in the Information Systems Department teaching courses such as Business Analytics and Decision Making, Technologies for Management Support (Business Intelligence Systems), Fundamentals of Information Systems and Information Systems Development. In 2018 she started her journey in the IEEE WiE world, being vice-chair (2018) and chair (2019) for the Portuguese Affinity Group.
