Manuela dos Santos Rodrigues

Gradueted in Biology in 2016 by the Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto and concluded the masters on Ecology in 2018 by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of University of Coimbra. During the master thesis, intituled "Mechanisms constraining the distribution of juvenile spoonbill Platalea leucorodia", studied the recent expansion of spoonbills in Portugal and the drivers behind this expansion. Studied the diet of spoonbill chicks, followed the movements of juvenile spoonbills with the recurse of GPS/GSM tags and developed skills in statistical analysis, R environment, ArcGIS and Stable Isotope Analysis. The principal interests in Ecology are birds migration and conservation, birds movements and adaptions to climate change.
