Coordinates the specialties of Clinical Sexology (since 2015) and Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (since 2008) at IPNP, and the research group NIRP (NeuroDevelopment, Interpersonal Relationships, and Psychopathology) – UNIDEP/University of Maia. Researcher at the Center for Psychology of the University of Porto and was a researcher at the Research Centre for Justice and Governance (JusGov) of the University of Minho (from Dec/2017 to Jan/2024). Coordinated the Caring First project – University of Maia. Trainer in the specialty of Psychotherapy at the Portuguese Society of Clinical Psychology. Member of the Sexuality Observatory®. PhD in Psychology from Lumière Lyon 2 University, France, and advanced specialist in Psychotherapy and Clinical Neuropsychology. Research interests and work focus on the areas of sexuality, victimology, neurobiology of trauma, intimacy relationships, processes of change and psychotherapy, socioemotional skills, and neuroeducation.
