Quyen Nguyen is an auxiliary researcher at the Centre of Textile Science and Technology (2C2T) of the Department of Textile Engineering within the School of Engineering at the University of Minho. He holds graduate, master's, and PhD degrees in clothing and textile engineering. He specializes in textile designs and mathematical modeling of the mechanical behavior of fiber-based materials and structures. His research focuses on developing mathematical and numerical models to solve partial differential equations (PDEs) applied in textile physics. Specifically, he aims to create parametric design algorithms in CAx Automation and explore the numerical simulation of impact on fiber-based structures to optimize their mechanical behavior. Quyen Nguyen also supervises PhD students in the Doctoral program in Textile Engineering at the Department of Textile Engineering of EEUM/UMinho.
