Alexandra Leandro holds a PhD and a MA in Anthropology from University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE) (2013 and 2006), and a Degree in Anthropology from NOVA University of Lisbon - School of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH) (1996). Over 24 years, she has participated in different research projects, involving topics such as Security Forces and Gender, Justices of the Peace, Gender-Based Violence, Child Labor, School and Security and Domestic Violence. Since 2010, she has designed and developed training workshops on Intercultural Education, with teachers and social workers. Between 2014 and 2016, she was an Invited Assistant Professor at Universidade Aberta (UAb), Department of Education and Distance Learning, and, between 2015 and 2022, she was and Invited Assistant Professor at the School of Criminology - Faculty of Law of the University of Porto, teaching Qualitative Methods (1st cycle of studies in Criminology) and Methodology of Research and Epistemology II (2nd cycle of studies in Criminology). Since September 2023, she has been an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human Kinetics of the University of Lisbon (FMH - UL), Degree in Sport's Sciences. She has publications on the different topics she worked on as a researcher and trainer.
