She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Technology, Universidade Aberta (UAb), Portugal, a researcher at CEG- Center for Global Studies, UAb, a research collaborator at CENSE- Center for Sustainability and Environmental Research, Nova University Lisbon, Portugal, and a member of the UAb Sustainable Campus Group. She has a PhD in Environmental Management, an M.Sc. in Environmental Management- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), both from the Science and Research Branch, Azad University, Tehran, Iran, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Kar University, Qazvin, Iran. Her research and teaching areas focus on sustainability assessment and management in public sector, in particular instruments to support sustainability assessment and management (indicators, indices, standards), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), sustainability implementation and assessment in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and e-learning in teaching sustainability and environmental sciences. She was a visiting researcher in CENSE (2016) and, she concluded 3 postdocs with UAb and Nova University Lisbon (2019-2023). Since 2013, she has worked as a research fellow in several national and international projects (N=9), mainly on sustainability and HSE in public sectors and HEIs, among them: APECHE (Assessing and Promoting Environmental Culture), ARDES (Art, Design and Sustainability-ERUSMUS+project), EUSTEPs (Enhancing Universities Sustainability Teaching and Practices through Ecological Footprint- ERASMUS+ project, by a partnership of 4 Eu-Universities and an NGO-Global Footprint Network-GFN); E-SLP (European Short Learning program for Continuous Professional Development and Lifelong Learning-Erasmus+), and POSEUR (Support for the design and implementation of a SEA follow-up program, Portugal). She has teaching experience, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, through face-to-face regime in two Iranian HEIs (2012-2015 and 2017-2019), and E-learning regime at UAb (since 2022), Portugal, as well as Life Long Learning and professional training courses (N=20) on HSE, environmental and sustainability topics. She also skillfully develops E-learning modules, courses, and long-life learning training about sustainability and SDGs. She supervised graduate and undergraduate students in two HEIs in Iran, Nova University Lisbon, and UAb, Portugal (N=5). Beyond the Higher Education Institution, she held executive experience in Tehran municipality (2009-2015) as a head of HSE and sustainability projects and also consulted on implementing HSE systems in various settings, including companies, factories, and municipalities. She contributed as both a member of the scientific committee (N=4) and organizing committee (N=9) of multiple national and international events and conferences, mainly on sustainability, and reviewed several manuscripts for national and international journals (N=26), published articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals (N=11), books (N=6), and book chapters (N=1) on sustainability and HEIs. Her extensive engagement also includes delivering multiple presentations as an invited speaker (N=8), as well as presentations in national and international conferences along with abstracts and full papers on conferences (N=38) primarily focusing on the advancement of sustainability in teaching, learning, and assessment within HEI. Recognized for her contributions to research and publications, she has received some awards, among them: AASHE Sustainability Award (2023) (the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) for the Best Campus Sustainability paper, and the title of Top Researcher in Qazvin province, Iran (2007).
