Rafaela Regina Fantatto holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis on Microbiology and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Araraquara FCFar - UNESP (grade 6) with a period spent at the Complutense University of Madrid. During her master's degree, she was selected as one of the 20 Young Researchers from UNESP to participate in the Jornada de Jovenes Investigadores (La Plata Argentina 2015) coordinated by AUGM. In 2016, she completed an internship at the Faculty of Livestock and Veterinary Sciences of the University of Chile (UCHILE), funded by the Association of Universities of the Montevideo Group (AUGM). In 2017, she participated in the Escuela de Invierno Doctoral em Farmácia promoted by the University of Chile (UCHILE). In 2018, she was elected as one of the 100 leaders in Biotechnology in Latin America and participated in the Second Convention of Young Influential Biotechnologists promoted by ALLBIOTECH, which took place in Guanajuato, Mexico. In 2019, she attended the Escuela de Verano Doctoral em Biologia promoted by the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile (PUC-CHILE). In terms of innovation and entrepreneurship, in 2020, she was the leader of the Quitsolutions team, a finalist in the First Startup Acceleration Program at Acelera ESALQ, and in 2021, her project was selected for the Catalisa SEBRAE program. After completing her doctorate in 2021, she worked in the animal feed industry and in 2022, she worked as a contract researcher at the University of Porto. She is currently a researcher at EntoGreen, a company dedicated to the production of insects for animal feed and organic fertilizers, and an integrated member of CiiEM, where she conducts research on new bioactive molecules. She has 18 scientific articles published in indexed scientific journals and more than 50 abstracts published in event proceedings. Her current goal is to promote innovation in the area of bioactive compounds.
