Daniela Ribeiro presently is Associate Professor at Faculty of Agrarian Sciences and Environment, University of the Azores, and she recently joined the Institute for Research and Technology of Agronomy and Environment (IITAA) as integrated researcher. Daniela Ribeiro path in science started in 2007 as a volunteer student, during her MSc degree. In 2014 she concluded her Pharmaceutical Sciences PhD degree - Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry specialization, at FFUP. She has been actively disseminating the results and achievements of the scientific research she has been working on. She has published a total of 71 articles in international peer reviewed journals. She has also published book chapters, abstracts in indexed international and national journals, and participated in international and national conferences with oral communications and poster presentations. Three of these presentations won 1 best oral, 1 best poster and 1 travel awards. She has participated in several international and national research projects. She was the PI of 1 scientific research project at LAQV@REQUIMTE. She has a current h-index of 33, and a total of 12000+ citations (Scopus). She has also been supervising PhD students, Master degree students, and Undergraduated students (curricular units Project I and II of the MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences of FFUP, First Degree in Biochemistry (ICBAS/FCUP), and international iternships). She is actively involved in the scientific community: Editorial Board for section 'Food Nutrition' - Foods, contribution as guest editor in special issues, collaboration with several scientific journals as reviewer (20+), participation in COST actions, and in the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors (GBD) Study. She also participates as responsible in the organization of Chemistry Olympics at University of the Azores.
