Dr Claire Bright is Associate Professor in Private Law at Nova Law School in Lisbon. She holds a PhD in International Law from the European University Institute, an LL.M in Private International Law and International Commercial Law from La Sorbonne Law School and a Double Bachelor in French and English Laws. Prior to joining Nova, Claire has notably worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies of the University of Oxford, as a Lecturer at the London School of Business and Management, and as a Research Fellow in Business and Human Rights at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. At NOVA, she founded and directs the NOVA Centre on Business, Human Rights and the Environment which regularly organizes courses, events and trainings in the field of Business and Human Rights. She has published widely in the field (in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese) and has contributed to various expert studies and policy reports for Governments, NGOs, as well as for the European institutions (European Commission and European Parliament), for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other international organisations.
