Mohamad Fouad Hanifa is a driven PhD Candidate at the School of Art and Architecture, University of Minho (EAAD) in Portugal,
holding an esteemed FCT award. He is an active member of prestigious organizations such as "Rilem," "IASS,","ICSA" and "Archinet."
His academic journey includes a Master's in Advanced Architecture (MAA01) (2019) from the Institute of Advanced Architecture
of Catalonia (IAAC) at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona. Additionally, he obtained a Postgraduate
Diploma in Manufacturing of Open Thesis (2020) in Barcelona, focusing on Cantilevers dissertation projects in Earth Architecture
and Infrastructure for 3D Printing Architecture.
Mohamad graduated with a degree in Architectural Engineering (B.Sc) from the University of Science and Modern Arts in October
(2017) in Egypt. His involvement in cutting-edge research includes joining the "Lab2PT," Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage,
and Territory (2020), and contributing as a Researcher at the Advanced Laboratory of R&D in Ceramics (2020) at Arena Lab (2022)
- an advanced robotic and technology lab.
His expertise lies in leveraging digital tools in architecture, involving the development of generative and analytical computational
models, along with digital and robotic fabrication in architectural design processes. His proficiency extends to implementing
and controlling sustainable additive manufacturing techniques. Mohamad is a skilled Architect and Computational Designer with
extensive experience in architecture design from concept development to working drawings. His practical experience spans working
with various machinery including 3D printers, CNC machines, and robotic arms such as ABB and Kuka. He specializes in Architecture
Design, Additive Manufacturing, and Digital Fabrication.
