Filipa Carvalho holds a Phd in Human Kinetics in Ergonomics specialty from University of Lisbon (2013), a Msc. degree in OSH & Ergonomics from the Technical University of Lisbon (2007) and, a graduation degree in Ergonomics from the Technical University of Lisbon (1995). She is an Assistant Professor at the Ergonomics Section (Human Kinetics Faculty at the University of Lisbon) where she is responsible for teaching different subjects about Ergonomics and OSH in BSc, Master, and Ph.D. graduation, such as Introduction to Ergonomics, Work Ability Analysis, Ergonomic Intervention, Ergonomic Work Analysis, Ergonomics and New Technology, Safety at Work, Product Ergonomics (all in Bsc); Risk Analysis, Prevention Management, Occupational Risk Management, Accessibility, Project Management and Entrepreneurship, Aging, and Inclusive Design, Fundamentals of Ergonomics (all in Master), Laboratory Research Methods (in Ph.D.); she is responsible for supervising Internships, MSc. dissertations, and PhD Thesis in those domains, as well. Additionally, she has taught about Entrepreneurship and Innovation in several courses of the Human Kinetics Faculty at the University of Lisbon (since 2021) such as Sports science, Psychomotor rehabilitation, Sport Management, and Ergonomics. She has been a member of the Pedagogical Council of the Human Kinetics Faculty, University of Lisbon, since 5th December 2022 and the Entrepreneurship Hub of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, since April 2022. She was Co-Coordinator of the Graduation in Ergonomics, (2015 - 2022). She has been a member of the research center: CIAUD - Research Centre for Architecture, Urbanism, and Design - Lisbon School of Architecture, University of Lisbon, since 2015, where she is engaged in research concerning risk assessments and ergonomics work analysis publishing these topics in scientific journals. As a reviewer, she has been collaborating with several international peer-reviewed scientific journals in the domain of Ergonomics and Occupational Safety, as well as with different international conferences on the same subjects, as a member of the scientific advisory board. She is a member of the Portuguese Society for Occupational Safety and Hygiene (SPOSHO); member of the Portuguese Association of Ergonomics (APERGO) and a member of the national Subcommittee for Standardization on Ergonomics - Occupational Safety and Health (SC3/CT42).
