I am Pedro Matias, a Data Scientist with an MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from NOVA University School of Science and Technology. Currently, and since 2021, I hold the position of Machine Learning / Data Scientist at Fraunhofer AICOS. Since then, I've actively contributed to healthcare projects aimed at enhancing traditional clinical practices, including diagnosis, prognosis, monitoring, and screening. My passion lies in developing intelligent systems using AI techniques and integrating them into existing frameworks to address real-world challenges, ultimately improving the end-user experience. I believe that bridging the gap between research and practical application is crucial for achieving success and driving innovation in any field, and it's this belief that motivates me.
