Vera Silva began her educational background in 2013 when she started her pursuit for a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde (IUCS). Later on, she completed her Master´s degree in Analytical, Clinical and Forensic Toxicology with a specialization in ABC transporters and their mechanisms at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP). After completing her MSc thesis, she joined the project "Sustained Advanced Materials" at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). Afterwards, she was a researcher at the COMPASS group, where she worked on the development of biomaterials for 3D in vitro disease models establishment. Currently enrolled in the Pharmaceutical Sciences PhD at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. Her interests include the area(s) of Medical and Health Sciences/Biomedicine with emphasis on Pharmaco(toxico)kinetics, Pharmaco(toxico)dynamics, and Neurological Diseases.
