Carina Proença has a BSc in Clinical Analysis and Public Health, a MSc in Control of Quality and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with specialization in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2021), by Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto. Her research is focused on the biological properties of phenolic compounds, especially on the evaluation of their antidiabetic, anti-obesogenic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory activities. She has published a total of 28 published articles in international peer reviewed journals, and participated in several national and international scientific conferences.
