Isabel Maria Dias Cabral

Isabel Cabral is currently a Contracted Researcher 2022.08710.CEECIND in Centro de Ciência e Tecnologia Têxtil - 2C2T, University of Minho, Portugal. She holds a PhD in Textile Engineering from University of Minho (2018), with the thesis Dynamic Light Filters: Smart Materials Applied to Textile Design, financed with the grant FCT SFRH/BD/87196/2012; a MSc in Space, Product and Communication Design by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2009); and a degree in Industrial Design by Instituto Politécnico de Leiria Escola Superior de Artes e Design das Caldas da Rainha (2004). From 2018 until 2023 she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at 2C2T, University of Minho and in 2010/11 she was a visiting researcher at Högskolan i Borås, The Swedish School of Textiles – University of Borås – Sweden. Cabral is Member of the board of the Centre for Textile Science and Technology 2C2T - coordination team of Fibre-based Product Design line in Centro de Ciência e Tecnologia Têxtil and Member of the board of the Doctoral Program in Fashion Design in Centro de Ciência e Tecnologia Têxtil.
