Presently, Ana Reis-Mendes (A.R-M) is currently a Postdoctoral researcher at the associated laboratory LAQV/REQUIMTE at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP). A.R-M obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a specialization in Toxicology, from the FFUP (2024). She also holds a Master's degree in Analytical, Clinical, and Forensic Toxicology from the same institution (2014) and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry (2012) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. Currently, A.R-M is a Postdoctoral researcher in the project "Novel tools for exposure assessment of food contaminants through saliva multiple biomarker monitoring," funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) (2022.08978.PTDC) at LAQV-REQUIMTE (Network of Chemistry and Technology), in the Bromatology and Hydrology Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, FFUP. During her PhD, A.R-M developed the thesis entitled "Inflammation and disruption of redox homeostasis (but not metabolism) significantly contribute to the cardiotoxic effects of mitoxantrone and doxorubicin: findings from in vitro and in vivo studies conducted on differently aged mice," as part of the FCT-funded projects (SFRH/BD/129359/2017 and COVID/BD/152374/2022), at UCIBIO-REQUIMTE (Network of Chemistry and Technology) - Toxicology Laboratory, Department of Biological Sciences, FFUP. A.R-M. has participated in the organization of 2 scientific events, being one international. A.R-M has published 23 papers in international peer-reviewed journals (18 in the last five years), 10 of which as the first author, and contributed 23 abstracts in international journals, one database, and 49 poster/oral presentations at national conferences and 34 at international conferences, earning five awards. My research impact demonstrated through collaboration with 60 scientists, is reflected in my high citation metrics (total h-index = 8, 173 citations; last five years h-index = 7, 115 citations, Scopus). A.R-M is currently guest editor of a special issue for the "Pharmaceutics" (MDPI) titled "Advances in Anticancer Drug Metabolism: Implications for Personalized Therapeutics (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/pharmaceutics/special_issues/5P7P1GA7ZP).
