A hard-working and motivated researcher driven by her curiosity for the fascinating world of science and health. Ana Lobo de Almeida earned a master's degree in Oncology from the Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar – Universidade do Porto (2023; 19/20) and a bachelor's degree in Medicinal Biotechnology from the Instituto Politécnico do Porto - Escola Superior de Saúde (2021; 17/20). She is currently a Research Fellow at the Portuguese League Against Cancer - Northern Regional Centre for the second year (2 projects: 2023 and 2024), specializing in Medical and Health Sciences, with a focus on Reproductive Biology, and Oncology. She was involved in the organization of a scientific event (LoginBiotech - 2020) and has presented posters/oral communications at 8 national and international scientific events. Ana published 2 papers in international peer review journals as first author. In addition, she has taken part in several training sessions and courses focused essentially on the Fertility and Cancer fields. In conjunction with her research activities, she has mentored 4 projects for the University of Porto's Junior University and has also been a member of Cartas com a Ciência since 2021, an organization that works in the field of science education in Portuguese-speaking countries.
