Mestre em Engenharia Biomédica pela Universidade do Porto, desenvolvo trabalho cientifico na área de neurociências humanas recorrendo a técnicas de imagem, nomeadamente ressonância magnética estrutural e funcional, tomografia por emissão de positrões e tomografia de coerência óptica. Nos últimos anos o meu trabalho tem sido desenvolvido no CIBIT (Coimbra Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Translational Research) e no ICNAS (Instituto de Ciências Aplicadas à Saúde) - Universidade de Coimbra - com grande foco no envelhecimento e patologias que lhes estão associadas, acedendo às alterações cerebrais estruturais, funcionais e moleculares bem como às alterações estruturais da retina.
