Pouria Amouzadrad is currently a PhD student at Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal. He has two masters in Civil Engineering specialised in Offshore Structures (2017) from Azad University Science and Research Branch (SRBIAU), Tehran, Iran and in Marine Technology (2019) from École Centrale de Nantes, France. He has secured a full scholarship to undertake his Doctoral research programme funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). He Developed his research within the project "Hydroelastic behaviour of horizontal flexible floating structures for applications to Floating Breakwaters and Wave Energy Converters" (HYDROELASTWEB)(PTDC/ECI-EGC/31488/2017), funded by FCT and European Regional Development Fund. His 1st MSc. thesis lasted for 8 months, was focused on modeling and analyzing the static and dynamic interaction between Pile-Soil (PSI) in Jacket type fixed offshore platform located in the Persian Gulf using SACS based on finite element method (FEM), a structural analysis suite of programs that supports the analysis, design and fabrication of offshore structures. His 2nd MSc. thesis lasted for 6 months funded by CNRS (Centre national de la recherche Scientifique) at the Research Laboratory in Hydrodynamics, Energetics and Atmospheric Environment (LHEEA) at Centrale Nantes, was on the topic of Speed-up and validation of simulations involving fluid-structure interaction (FSI) with elongated body through a co-simulation approach using BeamDyn, a time-domain structural-dynamics module for slender beam structures which is designed to analyze beams that are made of composite materials based on the geometrically exact beam theory (GEBT). His MSc. was recognized by University of Lisbon (2021). His principal research interests lie in the areas of hydroelasticity, structural modeling, numerical analysis, computational simulation, and optimization techniques applied to floating offshore structures for different applications in the ocean. In his curriculum Ciência Vitae the most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural output are: Offshore Structures; Ocean Renewable Energy; Hydroelasticity; Hydrodynamics & Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI).
