Nádia Hipólito has a degree in Physiotherapy (2018) from the School of Health Sciences of Polytechnic of Leiria and completed the PhD Course in Human Motricity (speciality of Physical Activity and Health) at the Faculty of Human Motricity of the University of Lisbon. She is enrolled in the PhD program in Health Data Science (speciality in Health Informatics) at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. Currently, Nádia is a research fellow funded by the PhD Scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) (2021.05188.BD) at the Center for Innovative Care and Health Technology (ciTechCare), an R&D Unit from Polytechnic of Leiria (FCT/UI/05704/2020) with the project "moveUP! Upgrading a mHealth app for personalised physical activity coaching within pulmonary rehabilitation in COPD". Her areas of interest are Health Sciences, emphasising COPD and Physical Activity, e-Health and Health Informatics. She has published six articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals, two of them as first author, several abstracts in conference proceedings, and presented two posters at national and two at international conferences. She participated in two projects as a Research Fellow, both related to the use of digital solutions for the management and physical activity promotion in COPD and is currently a Researcher in a funded project related to the co-existence of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Type II Diabetes Mellitus.
