Antonino Gomes de Sousa was born in 1989 and is from Paços de Ferreira. He is a member of the Congregation of the Priests of the Heart of Jesus (Dehonians) and was ordained a priest in July 2016. He completed his Integrated Master's Degree in Theology at the Faculty of Theology of the Portuguese Catholic University in Lisbon. In 2018 he completed the Postgraduate Course in Continuing and Palliative Care at the University Institute of Health Sciences - CESPU. She is currently studying for a PhD in Bioethics at the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto and is the Spiritual Assistant at the Matosinhos Local Health Unit and the Dehonian University Pastoral (Porto). She is also a member of the Ethics Committee of the Luz Arrábida Hospital and the Santa Maria Nursing School, where she teaches some subjects related to Bioethics, Ethics and Deontology and Spirituality in Palliative Care.
