Tannistha Roy Barman (TRB) received Ph. D. in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta, India in October 2010. On 12 March 2019, she received her Ph. D. equivalence from the Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. TRB worked as short time research associate at the Institut für Anorganische Chemie und Analytische Chemie, Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany in the group of Professor Dr. Eva Rentschler. In 2016, TRB joined as researcher at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal in the group of Professor Armando J. L. Pombeiro. During his research career TRB published 26 papers in international peer review journals with h-index 10 (ISI Web of knowledge, based on 24 papers). The major contribution of her research work is in the areas of catalytic oxidation of organic compounds using transition metal complexes under mild conditions. She jointly supervised with the group leader 1 master student and more than 6 ERUSMUS students. She participated in two research projects (Project No. UID/QUI/00100/2019, PTDC/QUI-QIN/29778/2017), funded by FCT, Portugal. She was also a part-time lecturer (2004 – 2005) at the Department of Chemistry, Panihati Mahavidalaya (A Degree College under University of Calcutta), Kolkata, India. Organized 2 event(s).
