Joana Matos graduated in Chemical Engineering in 2017 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and joined the Department of Chemical Engineering in 2016 as a project researcher at the Associate Laboratory of Separation and Reaction Engineering (LA LSRE-LCM, ALiCE), in the field of Simulation and Optimisation of Separation Devices with Evolutionary Algorithms. She obtained her degree of Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering (2022) from the University of Porto, in the area of Mixing and Reaction in Chemical Reactors. In July 2022, she joined the CoLAB NET4CO2, conducting research in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with High Performance Computing (HPC) in the area of Chaotic Flows. Since December 2023, she is a part of the STAR Institute as a researcher specialized in modelling and CFD. Her research is focused on flow analysis for the simulation of complex processes for the development of technologies of the future.
