Mário Vale holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal, since 2024. His Ph.D. research was focused on applying sol-gel chemistry in emulsions to create single and multicomponent oxide microspheres with customized porosity, known as MICROSCAFS. He used them as photocatalytic supports and applied them in the transformation of water contaminants (methyl orange) in batch and flow. During this work, a new model was applied.
