David Manuel Dias Neto

David Dias Neto currently works as an Assistant Professor at ISPA - Instituto Universitário, where he co-directs the Master in Clinical Psychology and he is an active member of Applied Psychology Research Center Capabilities & Inclusion (APPsyCI) research unit. David Neto teaches and researches in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, and mental health. He is particularly interested in studying strategies and relevant processes to increase the efficiency of psychological interventions - from online interventions to service research. He is also a clinical and health psychologist and psychotherapist with experience in private practice and hospital mental health care. As a professional, he participated in relevant associative and management activities. He was a member of the first direction board of the Ordem dos Psicólogos (the state-mandated association of psychologists), helping to establish relevant processes for the profession of psychology in Portugal. He was the president of the Specialty Council for Clinical and Health Psychology of the Ordem between 2017-20. David Neto completed a PhD in Psychology in 2012 from the University of Lisbon and the University of Sheffield and has published 45 articles in specialised journals, 12 book chapters, 7 books as an editor, 1 book as the author, and several other scientific and professional publications. In his curriculum, the most relevant subjects of scientific production are: clinical and health psychology, mental health, process research in psychotherapy, psychology specialities, assimilation, & health service research.
