Zélia Breda holds a PhD in Tourism, a Master's degree in Chinese Studies, with a focus on Business and International Relations, and a Licenciatura (5-year degree) in Tourism Management and Planning from the University of Aveiro, where she currently is a tenured Assistant Professor and the Vice-Director of the MSc in Tourism Management and Planning. She is a full member of the Research Unit "Governance, Competitiveness, and Public Policies" and a founding member of the Observatory of China. In addition to these roles, she is a senior consultant at Idtour, a company specializing in tourism research and development. She serves on the editorial and scientific boards of several national and international academic journals. Furthermore, she is a member of the organizing and scientific committees of various international tourism conferences. Her scholarly contributions include authoring and co-authoring numerous national and international publications and communications in the field of tourism. She has also been actively involved in several research projects in the tourism field, contributing both as a team member and a consultant.
