Bárbara da Silva Mota

Bárbara Mota is currently a MSc student in Health Sciences at the School of Medicine, University of Minho. In 2022 she graduated in Biochemistry at the School of Sciences at the same university. During her degree, she joined the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), where she investigated the role of macrophages in the control of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. Currently, she is focusing on the impact of early immune responses on the protection conferred by Mycobacterium bovis Bacillus Calmette-Guérin vaccination upon Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.
