Daniel Carvalho holds a Master's in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a focus on Biomedicine from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and a Bachelor's in Biotechnology from the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra. He completed his Bachelor's thesis and internship at the National Institute of Agriculture and Veterinary Research in Porto, applying molecular biology techniques in food microbiology. During his Master's, he gained experience in miRNA analysis, exosome isolation, and bioinformatics related to intestinal microbiota and pre-diabetes at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology. His thesis at the Multidisciplinary Institute of Ageing focused on miRNAs in wound healing and regenerative medicine, involving advanced cell culture techniques and the development of an ex-vivo wound healing model. Passionate about genomics and regenerative medicine, Daniel is eager to apply his expertise in new scientific challenges, particularly in bioinformatics.
