PhD (U. Seville, 2013-17, International Mention and Extraordinary PhD Award), funded by a FPU grant (Spain). I have developed postdoctoral contracts at the U. Seville and Malaga (Spain) until present (2017-22), funded by high competitive programs Juan de la Cierva (Spain) and Talento Doctores (Spain). My main research has been focused on the use of natural resources, mainly bacterial biotools, for environment conservation, restoration and sustainability. My training in different centres have provided me with multidisciplinary skills in Biochemistry, Plant Physiology, Ecology and mostly in Microbiology. Bacteria associated to halophytes from salt marshes was an unexplored field which has provided me with the starting point to generate new knowledge in environmental research lines. I have participated in 8 National and 1 European projects, and I have been PI of 2 Cooperation Projects in Argentina and Ecuador. My research output, where I have a high degree of involvement, includes 20 articles in SCIE-indexed journals (9 as first author and 2 as last, 75% Q1, 20% D1, 258 citations, h index 8, Scopus) in areas like Environmental Sciences, Plant Sciences, Microbiology or Agronomy. One of my publications was awarded twice as the “Best publication of the month” and “of the year” (Faculty of Biology, U. Seville, 2020). I also published 5 book chapters (3 as first author and 1 as last), concerning the role of bacteria in plant stress response. I have performed national and international stays: U. Waterloo, Canada (2014); U. Rennes, France (2015 and 2016); U. Balearic Islands, Spain (2016); U. Wollongong, Australia (2017); Ben-Gurion U. Negev, Israel (2018), U. Lisbon, Portugal (2019), Patagonian Institute for the Study of Continental Ecosystems, Argentina (2019) and U. Malaga, Spain (2020), during a total of 30 months. Also, I have been selected twice for international training programs for young researchers (Ambassadors Program, International Society of Root Research, Israel 2018 and virtual 2021), where I was awarded for the “Best 3 Minute Thesis presentation” (2021). These gave me the chance for establishing an ample network of partners, which permitted further collaboration. I have presented 11 posters and 12 oral communications (5 international, 1 invited) in national and international Congresses, being awarded once as the “Best oral presentation” (Spanish Society of Microbiology, 2017). I have also participated in Congresses as collaborator (Spain 2019), moderator of sessions (Israel 2018, virtual 2021) and Committee for abstracts selection (virtual 2021). I am active in the search for funding in international and national calls for stays, congresses or workshops (19.200 €), and projects (20.000 €). My independence and gained expertise in the field has promoted invitations to be referee for top SCIE journals and to evaluate projects for national calls in the USA (Georgia Sea Grants FY2018-2020) and Argentina (PICT2020). My research career also extends into non-scientific sectors of society. I participate in a “Proof of concept” with farmers (2021-23), I have collaborated with private companies mostly in the agriculture sector, and have been Partner Instructor in the University Extension Project “Small World Initiative” with high school students (2019, Spain). I belong to dissemination networks like “Andalusian Experts Guide” (Spain) and “DivulgaUS” (U. Seville, Spain), I have written articles in public media like The Conversation (2021) or SEM@foro journal of Spanish Society of Microbiology (2019, 2022); and have been speaker at “Coffee with Women Scientists” (2021) and “European Researchers' Night” (2021). Finally, I taught in Degrees (430h) and Master (50h), and participated in Teaching Innovation activities (2 congresses and 1 book chapter). I have been invited to give seminars in Doctoral Programs (U. Seville, 2020, Spain and U. San Juan Bosco, 2019, Argentina). I supervised 3 Master thesis and 1 Degree thesis.
