Ana C. Pereira graduated in Chemical Engineering by the University of Coimbra in 2006, completed a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering on the same institution in 2012. In 2011, Ana C. Pereira joined the R&D department of Cork Supply Portugal S.A.. From 2014, she holds a pos-doc grant and is developing her research at Madeira University. Since 2018, she has been lecturing the course unit on Food Science at Madeira University. She has also lectured the mathematics course unit in Incluir e Integrar Mais project. She is member of Chemical Process Engineering and Forest Products Research Centre. Her scientific activity is centred in chemometrics, applied statistics and process anlytical techniques. The domain of specialization is in advanced data analysis techniques. Her experience also extends to analytical chemistry, namely to chromatography and spectroscopy techniques and sample preparation, including the most recent extraction techniques. Food science and technology is the main field of application.
