Ana Reyes has a Ph.D. in Sports Sciences specializing in Sport, Genetics and Motor Behavior (2019), and a Master in Adapted Physical Activity (2013) from the University of Porto. She is an Assistant Professor at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Institute (ISMAT) and Guest Professor at the Piaget Institute, Almada. Moreover, she is a collaborator at the CIDEFES at Lusófona University (since September 2023). Also, she is a collaborator at the Center of Research, Education, Innovation and Intervention in Sport (CIFI2D), funded by FCT and housed in the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto (since 2011) and a a collaborator at the Insight: Piaget Research Center of Ecological Human Development. Her research focuses on children motor development and relies on a holistic interpretation of human development to best understand the intertwined relationships between individual and environmental characteristics that shape body composition, physical fitness, physical activity, motor development and lifestyle. She has been involved in projects at Portugal and Cape Verde. She was invited by international peer-reviewed journals to be a reviewer. She has vital skills in biostatistics, namely in multilevel model using SPSS, Stata and Supermix.
