I am a biologist working mostly on evolutionary and functional genomics in vertebrates, currently working as a researcher at BIOPOLIS-CIBIO. My main interest is trying to understand why living beings look the way they do: how does an organism’s genotype and the environment interact to generate the stunning phenotypic diversity we see in the natural world? To tackle questions in this field, I employ a variety of tools in genomics and functional biology, working with several model organisms (lizards, birds and mammals). Apart from research, I'm interested in science outreach to the greater public, and regularly organize and participate in initiatives to promote awareness of natural values and the need to protect them.
