João Lemos is an appointed research fellow at NOVA University Lisbon, coordinator of the Lisbon Kant Group, and the organizer of the Lisbon Annual Conference on Kant’s Aesthetics. Lemos main research activity revolves around Kant, aesthetics and philosophy of art. His latest articles in Kantian Review and the British Journal of Aesthetics are published in the most distinguished journals in his field. Most of Lemos publications, including a monograph, an edited book, and a special issue of a journal, are open access. He has presented research at nearly 50 scientific events, over half of them internationally, including established venues, such as Uppsala’s Higher Seminar in Aesthetics. Over the past few years, he taught Kant, methodology, philosophical anthropology, and history of ethics at NOVA. Lemos has also teaching and research experience abroad, including at NYU, São Paulo, Cambridge, Vechta, Bergen, and Rijeka.
