Teresa Raquel Abreu has completed an Integrated Master's Degree (BSc and MSc) in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2018/09/13 by University of Coimbra, Faculty of Pharmacy (FFUC). She is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Major in Pharmaceutical Technology from FFUC, performing her PhD project at the Reserach Institute for Medicines, from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon (iMed.ULisboa). Her research work focuses on designing next-generation CAR-T cells targeting advanced solid tumors, in the context of anti-cancer immunotherapy. Since 2020, Teresa has contributed to four projects (three as a research fellow, one as a PhD student), interacted with 37 collaborators, published two peer-reviewed articles (one as first author) and co-authored two book sections. She has also engaged in three major events of science communication, being part of the organizing committe in 2, and delivered several invited lectures to undergraduate students in both FFUC and FFUL. In 2023, Teresa was awarded an EACR Travel Fellowship, during her time as a PhD student at the Pathology Department from the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). Teresa works in the area of Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on oncologic immunotherapy, aiming at generating advanced Tcell targetd therapies.
