Estrela Ferreira Cruz received her degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in 1994 at Minho University, Portugal. In 2016, she obtained her PhD in Information Systems and Technologies at the same University. She is Adjunct Professor at the Higher School of Management and Technology, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo where she works since 2007. Between 2007 and 2015, she was an assistant professor at the same institution. Currently she is coordinating the technical superior course in Programming technologies and information systems. She is a Researcher at the ALGORITMI Research Centre (http://algoritmi.uminho.pt), University of Minho, Portugal. She was a Software Engineer for 13,5 years in the next companies: Nokia, SIEMENS S.A. and Edinfor Computer Systems (EDP Group). Her research interests include business process modeling, software modeling and design, Software engineering, software development, data storage.
