My academic and professional background is connected to strategic management, marketing, and communication. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences (University of Minho, 2008), a Master’s degree in Marketing and Strategic Management (University of Minho, 2011), and a Ph.D. in Marketing and Strategy from the joint doctoral program of the University of Minho, the University of Aveiro, and the University of Beira Interior, Portugal (2020). I am a lecturer at the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic of Porto, a research member of the Center for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems (CIICESI, ESTG/P.Porto), and a research fellow at UNIDCOM/IADE. My primary research interests focus on the role of companies in society, including corporate social responsibility, value co-creation, and sustainability. My contributions include both theoretical and empirical research, employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches. I have been involved in teaching activities since 2017, lecturing bachelor’s and master’s students at three different institutions: ESTG/P.Porto (since 2022), University of Minho (2017-2024), and IADE/Universidade Europeia (2020-2022). I have taught courses in marketing, international marketing, strategic management, and marketing project, among other related topics. I have experience as a scientific coordinator of the Marketing and Advertising Bachelor’s degree (IADE/Universidade Europeia, 2021-2022) and I am currently the scientific coordinator of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Management and Business of SMEs (ESTG/P.Porto, since 2023). I have supervised several MSc dissertations in marketing, management, business, and project management, contributing to the academic and professional development of students. Over the past years, I have served as an examiner in more than twenty MSc public defenses across six different universities, directly and indirectly impacting numerous junior researchers. I contribute to the research community and broader society as a research fellow at UNIDCOM/IADE, collaborating with SDI.Lab, a partnership between UNIDCOM/IADE, Universidade Europeia (Lisbon, Portugal), and the Department of Design/CILAB research group of Politecnico di Milano (Italy). This collaboration fosters strong connections with the design and sustainability research communities and supports the expansion of business models in the context of digital transformation. In my academic and scientific work, I have collaborated with both national and international researchers in co-authoring scientific publications and coordinating academic projects and conferences. I have published in indexed academic journals and presented at peer-reviewed conferences. I am a reviewer for international conferences and journals and, in recent years, have been part of several scientific committees and organizing teams of academic events. These engagements are crucial for fostering academic discourse and advancing research in areas such as Public and Non-Public Marketing, Digital Economy, the Future of Work, CSR, Ethics, and Sustainable Business. I am also actively involved in international projects and contribute to the submission of new research proposals, fostering cross-disciplinary and global academic collaborations.
