BIO: Gabriela Schütz received her Ph.D. in Mathematics/Operations Research from Universidade do Algarve (UAlg), Portugal, in 2000; her M.Sc. in Statistics and Operations Research from the Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal, in 1989, and her degree in Mathematics from the Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal, in 1985. She is a Coordenador Professor at the Institute of Engineering (ISE), UAlg, Portugal, where she teaches mathematics and statistics. She is researcher at the CEOT (electronics, optoelectronics and telecommunications research centre), Algarve, Portugal. She has been involved in some research and development projects and (co-)authored several publications.
