Marta Cunha completed her Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences on September 15, 2021, at the University of Aveiro with a final classification of 15 (out of 20), and a Master's degree in the same institution on December 6, 2023, with a final classification of 19 (out of 20). Her research experience encompasses the development of scientific activities, writing scientific papers (5 published and 1 under revision) - ALL AS FIRST AUTHOR - and presenting her work in international conferences as a co-author in 3 oral communications (SEB, RELITE 2024, and PRIMO22) and 1 poster (PRIMO22). Marta collaborated with the national fisheries institute (IPMA), learning how to detect toxins for her master thesis. During her ERASMUS internship at the Polytechnic University of Marche (Department of Life and Environmental Sciences), she acquired new skills related to cell cultures and in vitro exposures. Her current research interests focus on the effects of emerging contaminants (particularly PFAS) on marine invertebrates and the influence of climate change on these impacts, aiming for a better assessment of environmental risks, impacts on public health, risks of shellfish consumption, and generating new knowledge for sustainable marine ecosystem management. Marta's coordinating activities include tutoring new students joining the working group (tutoring 9 bachelor's/master's and doctoral students). Her methodological skills include markers of biochemical and physiological states of bivalves, design of uni and multifactorial experiments on bivalves, and univariate and multivariate data analysis using various software. Keywords: Bivalves; climate change; contaminants; metabolism; oxidative stress
