Completed his Masters' degree in Biological Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in 2019. His thesis dissertation titled "Using low-cost carbon source for the production of biodiesel and omega-3 lipids from the heterotrophic microalgae Crypthecodinium cohnii” was conducted at LNEG (Laboratório Nacional de Energia e Geologia). In March 2021 he started his PhD within the EngIQ program, with the topic “Static Optimization and Dynamic Modelling of Microalgae Production in Photobioreactors” to be conducted in partnership with A4F.
