Dr. Andrei B. Utkin earned his Honour M.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics in 1982 and his Ph.D. in the same field in 1986, both from Leningrad State University, Russia (now known as St. Petersburg State University). He later achieved an equivalence to a Ph.D. degree in Physics in 2007 from the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, Portugal. A reviewer for over 10 ISI journals and the author of more than 110 publications of different types, Dr. Utkin currently holds the position of Senior Developer at INOV - INESC Inovação in Lisbon, Portugal. His extensive research experience, marked by participation in approximately 30 national and international projects, spans a broad array of interests including lidar, laser-induced fluorescence, spectroscopy, electromagnetics, signal processing, and artificial intelligence.
