Clinical physiologist and Clinical Reaseacher at UnIC@RISE and Department of Surgery and Physiology at Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto (FMUP). PhD Candidate in Cardiovascular Sciences and Master in Cardiovascular pathophysiology from FMUP. She is also member of clinical trial team of: Randomization of Single vs Multiple Arterial Grafts (ROMA) and Sodium-glucose Cotransporter 2 Inhibitor, Aldosterone Antagonist, or Both for Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction: a Two-centre Randomised Three-treatment Three-period Crossover Trial (SOGALDI-PEF). Also she frequented clinical trials courses to acquire Good Clinical Practices certificate. Sousa main interest is clinical research in cardiac surgery with a specific interest in clinical research methods, such as,statistical analysis and machine learning. In the last years, Sousa had presented some of the results in the topic "Sex differences in long-term survival after Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery" in some national congress.
