Inês Miguel Marques Pereira

Inês Miguel Marques Pereira completed her BSc in Biochemistry in 2016 at University of Aveiro. During BSc, her main goals were in molecular and cellular biology and developed her scientific internship at CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials. In 2018, Inês Pereira finished her Master in Health Sciences at University of Minho. The main scientific areas of interest during her Master were Immunology (laboratory rotation) and Neurosciences (thesis/dissertation). Her Master work, entitled "Striatal modulation by lipocalin-2" consisted in elucidating the involvement of lipocalin-2, an acute-phase protein, in the modulation of striatum, a main brain region involved in compulsive behaviors. Her master was carried out at Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) from University of Minho. In 2018 she started as a contracted Researcher at ICVS, UM dedicated to develop effective therapies based on Spinal Cord Neural Stem Cells from induced Pluripotent Stem Cells for Spinal Cord Injury. She is currently author of 2 articles in journals and has 1 book chapter. Participates and/or participated as Master Student Fellow in 1 project and Researcher in 3 projects. In her professional activities interacted with 16 collaborator(s) co-authorship of scientific papers.
