Mariana Rodrigues is a recent graduate with a BSc in Biotechnology and an MSc in Biomedical Materials and Devices from the University of Aveiro. Her master's thesis focused on the development of biomaterials capable of bone regeneration by replication of the electrophysiological microenvironment. She has experience as an academic researcher with two developed research grants in the synthesis and characterization of piezoelectric functional nanostructures incorporated into flexible biopolymers. Additionally, she was involved in two additional grants, cooperating in collaborative R&D projects with industry partners. She has presented her research findings at three international conferences with posters and oral presentations. Throughout her path, she has been a member of different organizations, where she organized and participated in various events.
