Chris Gerry, Doutorado em Economia pela University of Leeds (Inglaterra) é Professor Catedrático na Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro e investigador integrado do CETRAD. Actua nas área das Ciências Sociais com ênfase em Economia (sobretudo questões do desenvolvimento local e regional) e Gestão (mormente no que diz respeito à promoção das PMEs), bem com nas Humanidades com ênfase em tradutologia. Nas suas actividades profissionais interagiu com 51 colaboradores em co-autorias de trabalhos científicos. Para além dos seus 47 itens de produção técnica, publicou 3 livros, 35 capítulos de livros, 19 artigos em revistas especializadas, e 33 trabalhos em actas de eventos. Na área de Estudos do Desenvolvimento, Economia e Gestão, (co)orientou 16 teses de PhD, bem como mais de 20 dissertações de mestrado (no Reino Unido) e 6 em Portugal. Nas suas actividades profissionais interagiu em coautoria com mais de 50 colaboradores. Na sua qualidade de tradutor de 23 obras técnicas e literárias, atua na área das Línguas e Literaturas, tendo já publicado ainda 6 artigos ou cápitulos sobre as traduções efectuadas por autoras-tradutoras portuguesas.
