I am a young ecologist with a passion for wildlife and a drive for academic excellence, From my early days, the wonders of the natural world have propelled me towards a career in ecology and environmental studies. I earned my Master’s degree in Ecology and Environment from Universidade do Porto, Portugal. My PhD journey is set to commence, with a focus on adaptation to climate change and extreme environments. Throughout my academic pursuits, I have gained a wealth of international and diverse experience. My time spent working on projects such as “Climate change and genomics of adaptation to extreme desert conditions” and “Behavioural optimization of camouflage in remote Sahara Sahel rodent communities” allowed me invaluable insights into field research and the practical application of ecological principles. Additionally, my experience at the Institute of Vertebrate Biology in the Czech Republic allowed me to develop expertise in molecular biology techniques. Parallel to my academic career, I have engaged in various projects that have honed my skills in project management and research coordination. As an Erasmus+ Environmental Project Manager, I have managed budgets, tracked progress, and produced detailed project documentation. My linguistic talents have also been put to use as a Portuguese-English translator and consultant for technical documentation.
