António Furtado received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computers from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT-UNL), Portugal, in 2012 and 2018, respectively. In the beginning of 2013 he joined the research center Instituto de Desenvolvimento de Novas Tecnologias (UNINOVA), and later the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), where he has been involved in several research projects concerning wireless systems. António Furtado is currently a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações where his main research areas include software defined radio, dynamic spectrum allocation, radio signal detection, medium access control protocols for wireless systems, particularly multi-packet reception communications systems, and cognitive radio networks.
