Pedro Matos is currently enrolled in the PhD program in Multimedia Education at the University of Aveiro. He holds a Master of Science degree in Education and Multimedia Communication. Over the past seven years, he has served as a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém. In this role, he instructed various courses, including multimedia design, project development, marketing, new media, content management, and other related technological subjects. During his tenure, he collaborated with professional schools, where he worked as a trainer and course coordinator in the fields of multimedia and computing. Additionally, he contributed as a junior researcher in two distinct research units: the Unidade de Investigação de Santarém and the Pólo Literacia Digital e Inclusão Social. His research interests encompass digital literacy, digital competences, digital tools, emerging technologies, and learning technologies. More recently, he has redirected his focus towards examining the impact of generative AI in education. Pedro has been actively engaged as a junior researcher in numerous European projects funded by esteemed programs such as COST Actions, H2020, Erasmus+, and P2020. Furthermore, he has authored one article in a conference and two articles in a journal. As a co-author, he has contributed to the publication of six conference articles, five journal articles, and three book chapters. His involvement in a cross-sectoral R&D team has been instrumental in the development of various scientific publications.
