Pedro Velho obtained his Integrated Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Products and Processes from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto (FEUP) in 2020. He conducted his Master's thesis titled "Development of a more predictive CPA equation of state" at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), with whom he continues to collaborate. He participated as a Scientific Initiation Fellow and as a Research Fellow in two projects focused on the recovery of vitamins and flavonoids using Aqueous Two-Phase Systems (ATPS) and green solvents. His main areas of interest include phase equilibria, equations of state, green novel solvents, and thermodynamic modelling of electrolyte-containing systems. Currently, he holds a doctoral grant from FCT titled "Production of antioxidants from Portuguese biowaste using green novel solvents" and has published 26 scientific articles and presented 7 oral presentations at international conferences.
