Frederico Aires da Silva is an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is the leader of the Antibody Engineering (AE) group at CIISA´s Microbiology and Immunology Laboratory. This dynamic AE team employs state-of-the-art technologies in comparative medicine to bridge the gap between Human and Animal diseases in a One Health context, aiming to revolutionize treatment options for shared health challenges. The AE group has achieved significant milestones, including the development of antibodies against canine lymphoma, breast cancer, SARS-CoV-2 and antibodies to overcome the blood-brain barrier for treating CNS disorders. He has authored >42 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 3 book chapters, and 8 patents, and H-index = 20. He was the co-founder of TechnoAntibodies (TechnoPhage SA) and Vector B2B.
